Assembling the jig

First steps

When you build a boat from a kit, you start with a jig. Bruce said that the jig had been designed to support the boat during initial bottom plates assembly but would need further reinforcement to sustain the weight of the complete boat, which is about 10 tons.

I decided to reinforce it from the beginning with some flat bars.

Jig parts were not primed, therefore I decided to paint it with whatever paint I had in my garage that left from the house construction. As you see, the result didn't look good but I cared less for its appearance.
